Speaking of movies that happen in Asian nations, The Bridge Over the River Kwai will kick your ass. David Lean, who directed one of film's quintessential epics in the form of Lawrence of Arabia , preceded that picture with this equally epic story of POWs forced to construct a bridge for their Japanese captors during WWII.

William Holden and Alec Guinness give two terribly great performances, with the better of the two being Guinness . Playing a colonel who becomes obsessed with his building project, Guinness brilliantly shows that military leaders can be blinded by their objectives.

The film's climax will amaze you. And on that movie, that's all I got to say.

i didnt like this movie. coppola's script was for shit. which sucked because the movie looked good. watch it on mute and then its good. watch it with your own damn indie soundtrack. yale philosophy grad? jeez, come on sophia.
