93 of 3610 “Absolutely Cuckoo” by Magnetic Fields
-It's cold up here on the el platform, and I've had too many crml mchta's. My mustache has finally fallen completely off and I've got that empty feeling you get coming home from a Halloween party and look @ your crappy, silly costume in the post-buzz bathroom mirror. I've taken the iPod off the postmodern collage-creating shuffle function so I can listen to the Mag. Fields' 69 Love Songs, Pt. 1 the way they meant for it to be listened to
– except for “Reno Dakota”, which I skip past like always. I swear that the Young Peter Gallagher look-a-like is back, waiting for the same train as me. Either that or he's another YPG look-a-like or maybe even YPG himself. 69 Love Songs are 69 songs about love, the simplest, most sentimental subject there is. When rock critics talk about 69 Love Songs , sooner or later most of them will try to assert that all songs are essentially love songs, and that's probably right if you look at it abstractly enough. So maybe I should call my iPod 3610 Love Songs. Or maybe more accurately, 69 Love Songs, With the Possible Exception of “XPlosive” by Dr. Dre Featuring Nate Dogg and argue that it's some sort of next-stage algorhythmic-based Album of the Future.

go back keep going
