You decide to get your act together and hang out with your roommate. Besides, you haven't been to Rockit and you're eager to weigh in on the buzz, both positive and negative. Quickly, you throw on a pair of jeans and a button-down collared shirt, slide deodorant under your arms, run a comb through your hair, take a swig of mouthwash and lock the apartment door behind you. You walk several blocks through the post-summer breeze until you come to a busy intersection. You wave your hand in the air as a stream of taxis stampede through traffic, but as one finally pulls over you realize you just left your cell phone back in the apartment. Shit. You may need it. What if it's crowded and you can't find your roommate? You've never been there before, but it could be a big place. What if he and his friends aren't there for some reason? The cabbie looks at you expectantly. Your cell phone is not your lightsaber – you don't have to have it with you at all times. If this is your attitude, jump in the cab and turn to page 6. Return to your apartment to retrieve your wireless best friend by turning to page 9. |
